A delegation of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), including President Riccardo Fraccari and Executive Director Roberto Fabbricini will attend the Sport Accord Convention in Quebec City (Canada) from Sunday May 20 through Friday May 25.

SportAccord Convention is the world’s premier annual event at the service of sport, focused on driving positive change internationally, and dedicated to engaging rights holders, organising committees, cities, businesses and other organisations in the development of sport.
The event was created and owned by what was then known as the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and the Association of International Olympic Winter Federations (AIOWF). The decision was recently taken to re-brand the GAISF organisation, coinciding with the start of a dynamic new organisational strategy, with the name changing to SportAccord. To make the distinction between the entities clear, the annual SportAccord event will be known as the SportAccord Convention and it will continue to be managed separately as before.

The SportAccord Convention Conference will happen on Wednesday May 23 at 10.30 am in the Main Auditorium. The same day, at 3.15 pm, the IBAF will showcase baseball at the Demo Zone.
The IBAF stand at the Exhibition Center will open 24 hours earlier. All of the delegates of the SportAccord Convention will be able to stop at the Stand number 91 from 9 o’clock of Tuesday May 22.
Another highlight of the Convention will be the presentation of the Spirit of Sport Awards, scheduled at the main Auditorium at 11.15 am of Thursday May 24. The IBAF has Baseball for Peace) in the shortlist of projects considered for the awards.

President Riccardo Fraccari has scheduled a meeting with the IOC for 11.15 am of Monday May 22.
