American Samoa, Australia, New Zealand and Guam to the U-18 Oceania Championship semi finals

American Samoa goes into the play offs undefeated and will face the defending champions Australia. The losers will have a second chance against the winner of New Zealand-Guam. The champions are heading to the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup

American Samoa came from behind to beat, 7-6, the hosts Guam at Paseo Stadium and finish undefeated (4-0 record) the round robin of the U-18 Oceania Baseball Championship.

Trailing 6-0, American Samoa tied it in the top of the fifth, when Mauai Villaruz hit a three run home run. Villaruz scored himself the winning run.

American Samoa will face the defending champions Australia in the winner’s semi final of the page system play offs.
The Aussie beat New Zealand, 10-0, and finished the round robin with a 3-1 record.

The loser of the semi final between American Samoa and Australia will face the winner of the other semifinal: New Zealand (2-2)-Guam (1-3) in an elimination game to earn the right to play in Sunday’s final. The loser between New Zealand and Guam will finish third.

The U-18 Oceania Champions will qualify for the WBSC U-18 BasebalL World Cup 2019, to be played in Gijang, Korea
