European qualifiers for U-12 and U-18 Baseball World Cup postponed

The European Championships serve as official qualifiers for the WBSC Baseball World Cups.

WBSC Europe has announced changes to its 2020 baseball schedule in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2020 U-12 European Baseball Championship, which was set for 7 to 11 July in Mortsel, Belgium has been cancelled. Next year's U-12 European Championship will now serve as a qualifier, where the top two teams will advance to the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2021.

The WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup is scheduled for July 2021 in Tainan, Taiwan.

Meanwhile, the U-18 European Championship, which is also a WBSC World Cup Qualifier where the top two finishers will advance to the U-18 Baseball World Cup, has been postponed until September/October. The 2020 edition was scheduled from 13 to 19 July in Macerata, Italy.

The WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup is scheduled for September 2021 in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida, USA.

Earlier this month, WBSC Europe announced the postponement of European Qualifiers for the 2021 WBSC Softball World Cups and national team baseball events while also cancelling all 2020 European baseball and softball club competitions.
