It's wild card Doosan Bears and KT Wiz in the 2021 KBO Korean Series

The final act of the KBO league opens on Sunday, 14 November, at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.

The Doosan Bears swept the Samsung Lions, 6-4, 11-3, to advance to the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) Korean Series. They will face the regular-season winners KT Wiz.

The Bears have been in every Korean Series since 2015, the first club to qualify seven straight times since the KBO league played its inaugural season in 1982. They have won the title in 2015, 2016 and 2019.

The seven-game Korean Series opens on Sunday, 14 November, at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. Game four is scheduled for Thursday, 18 November. An eventual game seven is scheduled for Monday, 22 November.

The Bears finished the regular season in fourth place. They faced the Kiwoom Heroes in the Wild Card Series and made the most of the better seeding. After losing the first game, 7-4, they won the clincher, 16-8.

In the Semi Playoff Series, the Bears faced the LG Twins. They won the first game, 5-1. The Twins tied it with a 9-3 win, and the Bears won the rubber match, 10-3.

The Doosan Bears became the first Wild Card team to reach the Korean Series since the KBO introduced the wild card option in 2015.
