MLB green lights fan attendance for NL Championship Series, World Series

MLB will welcome fans into the stadium for the first time this year. A total of 10,550 fans will sit in the stadium, 950 will use the ballpark suites. Both series are scheduled at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Major League Baseball has announced that 11,500 fans will be allowed into the 40,300-seat Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, for the National League Championship Series (12-18 October) and the 116th World Series (20-28 October). Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, 6 October, at MLB.com and texasrangers.com.

A total of 10,550 fans will be spread around the stadium. The tickets will be sold in groups of four contiguous seats, called pods. Individuals may purchase a limit of one pod per game.

Seats within each pod cannot be broken apart for sale, and each pod will be a minimum of six feet from each other. No seats will be sold within 20 feet of where a player can be located on the field, in the dugouts or in the bullpen.

The other 950 spectators will sit in the ballpark suites.

Face masks will be mandatory for all fans except when actively eating or drinking at their ticketed seats. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the ballpark. No bags will be permitted, except for those carried for medical reasons or manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants and young children.
