Puerto Rican Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony postponed

The ceremony was scheduled for 11 October. Julio E. Cora, the chairman of the institution, made the decision in agreement with the host city mayor.

The Liga Béisbol Superior Doble A, the highest level of amateur baseball in Puerto Rico, has postponed the inductions to its Puerto Rican Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame (Recinto de los Inmortales del Béisbol Aficionado Puertorriqueño) to 2021. The ceremony was scheduled for 11 October in Yauco. Over 300 guests were expected. The postponement was due to COVID-19 pandemic limitations.

Julio E. Cora (pictured above), the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Recinto de los Inmortales made the decision after consulting with Angel Luis Torres, the Mayor of Yauco.

The Recinto de los Inmortales was established in April 1983 in Guaynabo. The induction represents the highest honour in amateur baseball in Puerto Rico.
