The Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation (RFEBS), in collaboration with the government of the Canary Islands and the local baseball/softball governing body, organized the fourth edition of the U-15 Tenerife Winter League.
The Spanish U-15 National Baseball Team, managed by Miguel ERROZ, played a series of games against the Youth Academy of Tenerife, at the Baseball Center in Puerto de La Cruz.
Spain will play in Pool B at the U-15 European Baseball Championship next July in Trnava (Slovakia) and Brno (Czech Republic). The European champion and runner-up from Pool A both qualify for the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2022.
The Spanish roster in Tenerife includes 12 players: Pablo MERINO, Jorge MERINO, Angelo RODRIGUEZ, Diego SAN MIGUEL, Juan SALAZAR, Rodolfo FIGUEREDO, Cesa DIAZ, Vinicio LARA, Andres ANNUNCIATA, Kevin RODRIGUEZ, Oric MADRIGAL, Pablo COSTALES. Ismael GARCIA and Marc JUANEDA complete the coaching staff.
RFEBS' U-15 Tenerife Winter League is part of a government funded programme named Programa Nacional de Tecnificación Deportiva, PNTD.
