The Olympic Museum

The Olympic Museum was established in 1993. It is 200m away from Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) in the south-west of Switzerland. The building houses various exhibits, artifacts, and memorabilia from the history of the Olympics, and is known for having the largest archive of Olympic memorabilia in the world.

The museum is divided into three sections such as Olympic World, Olympic Games and Olympic Spirit.

The WBSC’s relationship with the Olympic Museum started in 2017 when the international governing body for baseball and softball unveiled its brand new slogan – Game Time! – at a special launch event in the Olympic Museum auditorium, with WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari and WBSC Secretary General Beng Choo Low joined by special guests Association of Summer Olympic International Federations President Francesco Ricci Bitti and IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell.

The WBSC has also been a regular participant in “Olympic Week”, a week-long sporting festival hosted by the Olympic Museum alongside Lake Geneva, with a popular showcase of Baseball, Softball and Baseball5. The 2023 edition was the fifth Olympic Week for baseball/softball, following appearances in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022; and the third edition for Baseball5.

The museum is also surrounded by an Olympic Park, which displays a vast collection of works of art and sculpture themed around sport, including an Olympic flame near the museum’s entrance.

The exhibit space covers a total of over 3,000m², with over 5,000 objects and 150 screens to give visitors an immersive experience.

This amazing venue will serve as the centre piece of the WBSC eBASEBALL™ Series 2023 World Finals where the first ever WBSC eBASEBALL™ World Champion will be crowned on March 9.
