Ticket sales launched for final Olympic baseball qualifier in Puebla, Mexico

Three national teams -- world No. 8 Venezuela, No. 9 Netherlands and No. 10 Dominican Republic -- will compete in the Olympic qualifier at Estadio de Béisbol Hermanos Serdán, home of Mexican Baseball League’s Pericos de Puebla.

Tickets sales have launched for the WBSC Baseball Final Qualifier, which takes place from 22-26 June at Estadio de Béisbol Hermanos Serdán in Puebla, Mexico. Fans can acquire tournament passes and individual game tickets online at boletomovil.com and at the stadium’s ticket windows from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

With the schedule made official yesterday, fans can now purchase tickets to watch the national teams of the Dominican Republic, Netherlands and Venezuela fight for the sixth and final berth into the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games baseball event.

The cost for a single-game ticket is $50 (Mexican pesos), while a five-game tournament pass is priced at $150 (Mexican pesos).

Around 4,600 tickets will go on sale for each game, with a 50% crowd allowed at the Estadio Hermanos Serdán, home of Mexican Baseball League’s Pericos de Puebla.

The five-game tournament will open with a round-robin (22-24 June), followed by one semifinal (25 June) game and the final (26 June). The winner of the round-robin will advance directly to the final, while the second- and third-place teams will compete in the semifinal.

The winner of the WBSC Baseball Final Qualifier will join Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico and USA in the six-team Tokyo 2020 Olympic baseball tournament.
