USA Baseball cancels U-10 Futures Invitational, U-11 and U-13 Futures Series

The events will not be rescheduled. The U-15 and Women's National Team Trials have been postponed to dates yet to be determined in the fall.

USA Baseball has announced that the U-10 Futures Invitational scheduled from 6 to 9 August at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina, and the U-11 and U-13 Futures Series scheduled for 28-30 August in Irvine, California, have been cancelled. These events will not be rescheduled. 

Additionally, the organization has postponed hosting the U-15 and Women’s National Team Trials until the fall. The Trial dates are still to be determined and will be announced at a later time.

The WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup (30 October-8 November) and Women’s Baseball World Cup (30 October-8 November) are currently scheduled to take place this year in Mexico. 

USA Baseball stated in a press release that the organization is continuing to closely monitor the ongoing situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

"USA Baseball is diligently evaluating the status of the remaining events on its 2020 calendar. All decisions on events will be made in as timely of a manner as possible in accordance with government-mandated guidelines and with respect to the safety and well-being of all the participating athletes, coaches and fans," USA Baseball stated.
