Tickets on sale for XVII WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage

Softball fans and national team supporters can buy their tickets for the XVII WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage, set to take place in Ireland, Spain and Italy in July. 

The XVII WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup, the biggest softball event of the year, is the first WBSC tournament to be held under the new two-stage system. A total of 18 teams have been split into three groups, with the the top two teams in each group’s final standings, plus two wild cards, advancing to the Finals, scheduled for 2024 in Italy.

Group A - Fingal-Dublin, Ireland

Group A will be contested by hosts and world No. 17 Ireland, No. 1 USA, No. 3 Chinese Taipei, No. 9 Australia, No. 16 Great Britain and No. 43 Botswana. The games will be staged at Balbriggan Softball Field in Fingal-Dublin, Ireland, from 11-15 July.

The six teams will compete in the Opening Round from 11-14 July, with the play-offs scheduled on 15 July. You can see Group A full schedule here.

Group B - Valencia, Spain

Group B features hosts and world No. 12 Spain, No. 4 Puerto Rico, No. 10 Netherlands, No. 11 China, No. 28 Cuba and No. 38 South Africa battling for the two spots in the Finals. The Camp Municipal de Beisbol i Sofbol in Valencia, Spain, will host the 19 scheduled games from 18-22 July.

Group B Opening Round will be played from 18-21 July, with the Play-Offs on 22 July. You can see Group A full schedule here.

Group C - Castions di Strada and Buttrio, Italy

Group C will see hosts and world No. 8 Italy, No. 2 Japan, No. 5 Canada, No. 22 Venezuela, No. 26 Philippines and No. 28 New Zealand playing for a spot in next year’s finals. Two stadiums will be used to conduct all 19 games of the third and final group: Campo Comunale da Softball in Castions di Strada and Campo da Baseball-Softball G. Michelutti in Buttrio.

The Opening Round will take place from 22-25 July, with the Play-Offs on 26 July. Competition will take place in Castions di Strada on 22, 25 and 26 July, while the games on 23 and 24 July will be played in Buttrio. See the schedule here.
