Yusuke Koma hits two homers in Japan's 16-0 victory over Germany
The designated hitter went deep for a three-run shot and repeated himself with a grand slam.
Japan needed only one at-bat to open the score. The U-12 Samurai batted 19 times in the top of the first and scored 15 runs against two German pitchers on the way to a 16-0 win in four innings at the VII WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.
Designated hitter Yusuke Koma belted a three-run homer and a grand slam. He hit the three-run homer against starter Mason Cameron and a grand slam off Felix Blesing, totalling seven RBIs. Japan batted 19 times, combining 15 runs on ten hits.
Japan went on to win in four innings. Ren Mitsui and Osuke Minakawa pitched one inning each. Germany got their only hit against Elshin Miyano. The three Japanese pitchers got nine of the 12 outs they needed on strikes.
