Welcome back to the WBSC Top-10 Softball Plays of the Year, a review of the best 10 plays in the WBSC Softball World Cups in 2023. At No. 3, Kee Hyun Yap appeared from nowhere to make an astonishing diving catch in right-centre field at the WBSC U-18 Men's Softball World Cup in Hermosillo, Mexico.

On Day 3 at the World Cup, Singapore and Colombia opened the day at Mundialistas Hermosillenses Stadium in a Group A matchup. Both teams were looking for a much-needed first win in the tournament to remain in contention for a spot in the Super Round.

In the bottom of the second inning, Colombia scored the first run of the game, and had two runners in scoring position with two outs. Colombian shortstop Yoiber Cantero connected a line-drive to the right side of the field, but Singapore's centre fielder Kee Hyun Yap made a superb diving catch to end the inning and prevent two more runs from scoring.

The play made the SportsCenter Top 10 Plays November 14.

In a back and forth game, Singapore couldn't hold a the lead, and Colombia rallied late in the game to earn their first-ever win at the U-18 Men's Softball World Cup.
