CARNEXT becomes presenting sponsor of WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Final Stage

CARNEXT (Osaka, Japan), an online car-buying service provider, has been appointed as the presenting partner of the IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Final Stage, due to take place in Thunder Bay, Canada in 2024.

The name of the tournament - which will have all participating teams confirmed after the completion of WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Group B, which is currently taking place in Miyoshi City, Japan - will be "IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Final Stage presented by CARNEXT”.

CARNEXT, a major sponsor of Samurai Japan, is extending its support to the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup, providing fans with excitement and top-level sports entertainment and competition while promoting the empowerment of women.

The 9th WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup used the two stage format for the first time with 12 countries and regions, that won their continental qualification tournaments, divided into Group A (Thunder Bay, Canada) and Group B (Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture of Japan), with six teams from each group playing in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each Group Stage as well as two wild card teams, advance to the Final Stage.

In Group A, held in August, the United States, Canada, and Mexico grabbed tickets to the Final Stage. Group B is being held in Miyoshi, Hiroshima Prefecture from September 13 to 17, with Cuba, France, Japan, Puerto Rico, Chinese Taipei, and Venezuela looking to advance to the Final Stage.
