U-15 European Championship opens in Slovakia, will qualify champions and runner up for WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2024

Seven teams participate in the U-15 Baseball European Championship, which opened on Tuesday, 18 July, in Trnava, Slovakia. The European Champions and the runner-up will advance to the VI WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup next year.

World No. 12 Italy, the defending champions and No. 16 Czechia, No. 19 Germany and No. 47 Hungary will compete in Group A. No. 8 Netherlands, No. 22 France and No. 34 Slovakia will play in Group B.

The top two finishers in each group will play the semifinals on 21 July. The medal games are scheduled on Saturday, 22 July.

Earlier this month, Germany defeated the Netherlands in the final, 3-2, claiming their second consecutive U-12 Baseball European title. The 2023 edition of the European Championship was not a qualifier for the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.
