15U BWC: Germany concludes 1st Round with Rout over Ukraine

Julius Reitemeier went the distance for the German team, allowing just one run on five hits and a walk in seven strong innings. He struck out 14 of the 28 batters he faced. At the plate he added a double, a sac fly, a run and a sac bunt. Four players scored twice. Oskar Matzpreiksch drove in three.

Vitalii Chumrii scored the lone run for the Ukraine on a triple by Valentyn Shupnyak in the sixth. Danilyil Buryachek was charged with nine hits, eight runs (5 ER) and five walks in 5 1/3 innings.
