After a scoreless first inning, the Americans went for big second and third, showing a power that the Europeans couldn’t find the way to manage. Nicaragua sent ten batters at box during the second inning, opened by a triple by the cleanup Alvaro Rubi, collecting six hits (4 extra-bases) and six runs.

The score turned to a peremptory 13-0 at the end of the third, when the Nicaraguans scored seven times out of six more hits and three more doubles and a triple.

Ukraine scored its run in the fifth, out of two walks and one of the two hits they got in the game, but their opponents took advantage of two errors and two walks in the seventh, to set a final score of 16-1.
