Cuauhtemoc (Mexico) – Chinese Taipei taught Italy a lesson in the third day of competition at the IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship in Chihuahua.

After a scoreless first inning, the Eastern scored 5 runs in the second, taking advantage of two errors of the Italian defense, with no ER for the starter Friggeri.

The Azzurri kept their opponents from stepping on the home plate in the third and fourth, building their first run of the game out of a walk, a passed ball and a single, but the Chinese bats unleashed their power in the fifth, scoring 9 runs with 9 hits.

At this point the game is a matter for statistics: Chinese Taipei got a 19-2 win in seven innings, leaving the Europeans the chance for making the second round to their games against Honduras and the hosting country Mexico.
