Baseball New Zealand elects new board of directors

Scott Drinkwater was elected chairman by the General Assembly.

Scott Drinkwater was elected as chairman of Baseball New Zealand during its annual general assembly.

Drinkwater, who describes himself as being consumed by the game of baseball almost his whole life, beginning as an under-10 player in Auckland in 2001, was a member of the New Zealand Baseball Board of Directors.

Former chairman Vaughan Wyber remains as a member of large.

Drinkwater's aims include to grow and development baseball in New Zealand, with a desire to see more Kiwi families enjoying the game and fulfilling all the opportunities the sport has to offer its players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and fans.

The following Baseball New Zealand elected Executive Board Members will serve their respective terms until June 2024:

  • Member at large: Glenn Campbell
  • Member at large: Karen Mounsy
  • Member at large: Vaughan Wyber
  • Member at large: Nicky Van den Bos
