Baseball5 Toolkit available to all physical education teachers in Vaud district, Switzerland

The Baseball5 Toolkit can be downloaded in French (Livret Pédagogique Baseball5) from the WBSC website.

The Physical Education and Sports Service of the Vaud District, Switzerland, made the Baseball5 Toolkit available to all physical education teachers through a website dedicated to educational resources.

The Olympic City Lausanne, home to the International Olympic Committee and the WBSC headquarters, is the capital of the French-speaking Vaud District.

The Toolkit includes an introduction about the five-on-five version of baseball/softball and the approach to Quality Physical Education, which makes the teacher figure central.

The exercise cards are based on a Learn by Playing philosophy, including starting activities and a series of exercises leading to the game.

The cards offer exercises for defensive players (how to throw and recover the ball) and introduce the role of offensive players (putting the ball in play and base running).

The Baseball5 Toolkit can be downloaded in French (Livret Pédagogique Baseball5) from the WBSC website.

The Toolkit is also available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Albanian, Arabic and German.
