Burkina Faso stages Baseball, Softball and Baseball5 seminar in Ouagadougou

According to the National Federation President Ibrahima Siboré, the massive education activity will improve the level of competition in Burkina Faso.

The Baseball and Softball Federation of Burkina Faso (FBBS) ran a week-long seminar for Baseball, Softball and Baseball5 game officials (umpires and scorers) and coaches from 3 to 10 March in the nation's capital Ouagadougou.

"The outcome of this week will be instrumental to improving the organisation of events in the three disciplines," commented FBBS President Ibrahima Siboré. "Previous educationals had limited time, so we tried to give our officials and coaches a real chance to learn. We want to give them the tools to increase the level of competition in Burkina Faso."

The seminar included three class modules. The officials and coaches then had the chance to apply what they had learned on the field.

Mariam Guitanga, the president of the Central League, added: "The amount of knowledge the participants handled is massive. I'm positive they can boost the activity when they return to their areas."
