Canada beat Hong Kong, China in five to claim second win of the tournament

Half of Canada’s hits came off the bat of Alexane Fournier (5-for-6) and Zoe Hicks (3-for-3), who also combined for four RBIs and three runs scored.

Hosts Canada earned today their second victory of the tournament with a 22-3 win against Hong Kong, China in five innings to close Day 2 of the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup. Canada recorded 16 hits in the game and scored multiple runs in every at-bat.

Canadian starter Julia Konigshofer pitched three innings with two hits and three runs. Amy Johnson worked two innings in relief, striking out five opponents.

Wing Hin Ng and Chee Ar Lui collected the only two hits of Hong Kong, China in the game.
