Cuban teams finish first and second at Baseball5 Caribbean Cup

France defeated Jamaica to finish in third place. Varadero hosted the second edition of the international event from June 2 to 6.

Two teams from Cuba finished first and second in the Baseball5 Caribbean Cup, played in Varadero, Cuba, from June 2 to 6.

Cuba Blue, coached by Liorvis Savón and Sadian Fernández, defeated Cuba Red in the final, 2-0 (6-0, 2-0). France defeated Jamaica, 2-0 (9-1, 6-2) to claim third place.

The organizers honoured the best offensive and defensive players and the tournament MVPs.

Haila Gonzalez and Orlando Amador (Cuba Blue) proved to be the best offensive players (Golpeo de Oro). Amina Taleb (France) and Yoel David Blanco (Cuba Blue) were the best defensive players (Mano de Oro).

Haila Gonzalez and Cristian Basabe (Cuba Blue) earned MVP honours.
