Czechia name roster for U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup in search of second medal in a row
A total of 16 players have been named to represent the European champions in the World Cup, set to be staged in Hermosillo, Mexico, from 11 to 19 November.
After the historic bronze medal at the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup 2020 in New Zealand, world No. 6 Czechia announced their roster for the next edition of the biggest youth men’s softball event, aiming to repeat the medal campaign.
A total of 16 players have been named to represent the European champions in the World Cup, set to be staged in Hermosillo, Mexico, from 11 to 19 November.

All 16 players in the Czech roster will make their World Cup debut in Hermosillo.
The team is managed by Ondřej Stroner, assited by coaches Dušan Borbély, Filip Mostěk, Michal Trtílek Michal, Lukáš Míka and Jaroslav Korčák. Šnelly Dušan (scouting), Jiří Kost (development coach, scouting) and Radim Žídek (physiotherapist) complete the staff.
Czechia will open the WBSC U-18 Men's Softball World Cup in Group A, along with No. 2 Australia, No. 4 Canada, No. 10 Mexico, No. 12 Singapore, and No. 24 Colombia. On Opening Day, the European champions will face Canada, at noon (local time), at Mundialistas Hermosillenses field. You can see the full schedule here.
In 2020, Czechia earned their first ever men’s softball world cup medal in Palmerston North, New Zealand, behind a stellar performance from their ace, Jakub Osicka, beating Argentina, 2-0, in the bronze medal game.
