Dutch Baseball Softball Federation Executive Board stands down

Former president Bob Bergkamp will chair an interim Board in charge of day-to-day operations until a new administration is introduced during the Autumn Congress.

The Executive Board of the Royal Dutch Baseball Softball Federation (KNBSB) resigned during the organisation's Spring Congress.

According to KNBSB's official website, incumbent president Mark Herbold mentioned that "different views" inside the Board made cooperation no longer possible. Board Members Job van Beekhoven and Petra Arends confirmed his view.

Jan Kuipers, the chairman of the Supervisory Committee, acted as the Congress chairman.

The clubs elected Kuipers, Diana Remmers, Yvonne Campfens, Jan van Gorkum and Bas Veerman to a Committee in charge of selecting the new Board.

The Board will be introduced during the Autumn Congress. As per the National Olympic Committee rules, it will consist of an odd number of members with a maximum of 70% of the same gender.

Former president Bob Bergkamp will transition KNBSB to the Autumn Congress, chairing a provisional Board in charge of day-to-day business. Herbold will sit on the interim Board.
