1. Recap the basic history of your National Federation and the origins of baseball in your country
Baseball is the most popular and widely played sport in Venezuela. It is believed that the first baseball game in Venezuela was played in 1895.
The Venezuelan Baseball Federation governs baseball in Venezuela.
2. Describe your National Team programmes
Venezuelan baseball teams are identified and developed under the leadership and control of the Venezuelan Baseball Federation and its Team Baseball Venezuela brand. The Federation also promotes the Sembrando Beisbol initiative, which helps to grow and improve baseball in the country.
3. Describe your top-level competition (teams, cities involved, format)
Baseball in Venezuela is divided into three levels: municipal (towns and cities), state (the best players and teams from the municipal tournaments compete), and national (state teams compete from the state and municipal competitions).
National competitions are held in both the male (from ages four to over 60) and female categories in three divisions for Children, Youth, and Adults.
There are also two professional baseball leagues in Venezuela, namely the Liga Mayor de Beisbol Profesional and Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional.
4. Describe your grass-root activity
Development activities and staging regular national tournaments is the key to any sustained success on the international stage. The FEVEBEISBOL organizes every year eight different National Championships for kids and teenagers, ranging from participants under the age of four to the U-18 category. We also organize two Women's Baseball U-19 tournaments and three events for seniors: over the age of 40, 50 and 60. The final selection of each State comes out of a championship that allows up to 24 participating teams.

More than 100,000 Venezuelan players actively participate in organised sports of baseball and softball.

The Venezuelan Baseball Federation developed the Sembrando Beisbol Program which consolidates the provision of opportunities for the development and practise of the discipline through eBaseball, especially attracting the youth who are more likely to participate in this new discipline.
