France secures second 10th-13th Place Round win behind Maxime Olujic solid outing

The starter tossed five dominant innings, allowing two hits and one run.

France claimed today their second win of the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup after beating South Africa, 8-1, at Hector Espino Stadium in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. The French team improved to 2-1 in the Placement Round for 10th-13th place.

Maxime Olujic had a strong outing, holding South Africa to one run and two hits over the first five innings of the game. He was credited with the win.

France's Baptiste Volpato and Ivan Bamberger registered two hits each.

South Africa's Jaden Du Preez, who tossed 2.2 innings giving up four hits and five runs, was tagged with the loss.
