Hardball-The Girls of Summer to premiere in Europe

The movie, directed by Matthew Temple and narrated by Jessica Mendoza, is about the challenges and achievements of girls and women who play baseball

Hardball-The Girls of Summer is a movie about the challenges and achievements of girls and women who play baseball and their fight for recognition and a future in the sport they love.

Hardball-The Girls of Summer is directed by Matthew Temple, produced by Jewel Greenberg and narrated by Jessica Mendoza, the former softball Olympic gold medalist who became the first female baseball analyst on ESPN.

The movie tells the baseball odyssey of top female US players such as Stacy Piagno and Kelsie Whitmore. Part of Hardball-The Girls of Summer was shot during the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup 2018. It includes an interview with Academy Award-winning director Francis Ford Coppola, an advocate of Women's Baseball.

The film was released on 24 September in the USA and is available on-demand on different platforms, including Apple TV, Amazon Videos and Google Play.

On Tuesday, 29 October, Hardball-The Girls of Summer will premier at 3 pm CEST at Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the heart of Milan, Italy, during the Sports Film Festival organised by the International Sport Movies TV Federation.
