IBAF President Fraccari at the ANOC General Assembly

Saturday June 15 IBAF President Riccardo Fraccari participated in the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Commitees (ANOC) in Lausanne.

Saturday June 15 IBAF President Riccardo Fraccari participated in the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Commitees (ANOC) in Lausanne.

The meeting was attended by over 800 delegates of the 204 National Olympic Commitees, by the Presidents of the Olympic International Federations, the representatives from the Olympic GamesOrganising Committees and Candidate cities.

The President of the International Olympic Commitee Jacques Rogge praised during his final address ANOC’s President Sheikh Ahmad (Kuwait) “Creative and ambitious plans”.
Rogge also referred to the IOC presidential race and to the 6 candidates: Thomas Bach (Germany), Sergey Bubka (Ukraine), Richard Carrion(Puerto Rico), Ser Miang Ng(Singapore), Denis Oswald(Switzerland) and C.K. Wu (Chinese Taipei).
“They all have extremely strong credentials and have big assocations with their NOCs. All of them know about your problems, wishes and needs” said Rogge, who pronounced this line as a farewell: “I urge you to support my successor as you have supported me. I remain extremely optimistic about the future. Thank you and good luck”.

After the meeting, the Italian Delegation at the Assembly, composed by President Giovanni Malagò, Secretary General Roberto Fabbricini and Deputy Secretary General Carlo Mornati, visited the IBAF head quarters.

The office at the Maison du Sport International was no secret to Roberto Fabbricini, who served as the IBAF Executive Director from January 2010 until June 2012.
