Italian Blind Baseball Association hosts players and coaches from the US for one-week clinic

Players from the United States Blind Baseball Association and the New York Lions Adaptive Blind Baseball Team, together with five coaches, participated in the initiative.

The Italian Blind Baseball Association (AIBxC, a WBSC Associate Member) held a clinic in Bologna for blind baseball players, coaches and umpires from the United States.

Ed Plumacher, Adaptive Technology Specialist at Lighthouse Guild, and the president of the United States Blind Baseball Association (USBBA) and Don Landolphi led the group of five coaches: Bruce Stark, Brian Seims, Robert Casellas, Lilly Harris and Paul Zappia (an umpire in the making).

Coaches Lauro Lanzarini, Angel Argentieri, Adriano Costa, and Valter Bucich (Bologna White Sox, an Italian League team), with the support of Eva Trevisan, Priscilla Brandi and Caitlyn Nolan of AIBxC, worked with USBBA and New York Lions Adaptive Blind Baseball Team.

A friendly game between the American Players and the Fortitudo White Sox team ended a week of workouts.
