Italy needs only four innings to top South Africa

Italian pitchers allowed only two hits in their first game played on the field at the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan.

After a forfeit on Day 1, Italy made their on-the-field debut in the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup with a 15-0 win in four innings against South Africa.

After no score in the first, the Italians scored three runs off starter Jamie Moran in the bottom of the first and didn't look back.

Eight out of nine in the Italian batting order registered a hit. Noah Uttaro and Tommaso Destro limited South Africa to a couple of singles.

Italy's record moves to 1-1, while South Africa drops to 0-2.
