Media registration is open for the IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup-Group B presented by CARNEXT. The deadline for registration is Sunday, 10 September.

All members of the media, both local/national and international, who plan to cover the Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage must apply for accreditation through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at

The accreditations procedure starts by clicking on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS. The online request form needs to be completed, also including a headshot.

Media should accurately indicate their credential pickup location to avoid delays during the distribution. Those media intending to cover the event remotely should contact the WBSC Media Department by writing to

Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated email confirmation that their application has been received.

Another automated message will indicate a "change of status" in the accreditation request.

Media members can check their request status after the registration deadline, 10 September, by accessing and clicking SEARCH FOR YOUR ACCREDITATION on the top right of the page. They will then need to enter their name, last name and email address.

International Media, please check accurately if travelling to Japan from your country of origin requires a VISA.

A pre-tournament press conferences will be scheduled. Details will follow at a later stage.

The WBSC will share a protocol for media interviews during the IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup with the accredited media before the tournament opens,


  • Only rights holders of applicable games may transmit game footage (audio and/or video) of WBSC events.
  • NRH media credentials provide access to official training sessions, games, and Opening/Closing Ceremonies.
  • Specific categories will grant credentials (i.e., Press, Photographer, Radio and TV, Team Media), and stadium access will be given accordingly.
  • Photographers, NRH TV crews, and Team Media will be required to wear WBSC-issued media vests.

Miyoshi City, Japan will host Group B from 13 to 17 September. The three top finishers will advance to the finals.

Group A of the first WBSC baseball tournament played under the new two-stage format saw action in Thunder Bay, Canada, from 8 to 13 August. World No. 3 USA, No. 4 Canada and No. 12 Mexico earned their spot in the final.

Thunder Bay will host the final in 2024.
