Media accreditation open for Baseball Champions League Americas in Merida, Mexico

The registration deadline is Friday, 15 September.

Media registration is now open for the Baseball Champions League Americas. The Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (LMB) and Leones de Yucatan will host the tournament in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico 28 September to 1 October.

The registration deadline is Friday, 15 September.

All members of the media, both local/national and international, who plan to cover the Baseball Champions League Americas must apply for accreditation through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at https://my.wbsc.org.

The accreditation procedure starts by clicking on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS. The online request form needs to be completed, also including a headshot.

Media should accurately indicate their credential pickup location to avoid delays during the distribution. Before applying, the media intending to cover the tournament remotely should contact WBSC Media Department (media@wbsc.org).

Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated email confirmation that their application has been received.

Another automated message will indicate a "change of status" in the accreditation request.

Media members can check their request status after 5 September by accessing my.wbsc.org and clicking SEARCH FOR YOUR ACCREDITATION on the top right of the page. They will then need to enter their name, last name and email address.

Approved media credentials will be available at Kukulcan Stadium in Merida, Yucatan, on 27 September (from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time) and from 28 September before the games.

Pre-tournament press conferences will be scheduled. Details will follow at a later stage.

The WBSC will share a protocol for media interviews during the Baseball Champions League Americas with the accredited media before the tournament opens.

GUIDELINES FOR NON-RIGHTS HOLDING (“NRH”) MEDIA

  • NRH media credentials provide access to official training sessions, games, and Opening/Closing Ceremonies.
  • Specific categories will grant credentials (i.e., Team Media, Press, Photographer, Radio, and TV), and stadium access will be given accordingly.
  • Team Media, Photographers and NRH TV crews will be required to wear WBSC-issued media vests.
