Media registration is now open for the IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup, the first WBSC baseball tournament to be played under the new two-stage format.

The registration deadline for Group A, scheduled from 8 to 13 August in Thunder Bay, Canada, is Friday, 4 August, 2023.

The deadline for Group B, scheduled from 13 to 18 September in Miyoshi City, Japan, is Sunday, 10 September, 2023.

The two six-team groups will qualify the top two finishers to the Finals.

Thunder Bay, Canada will host the World Championship stage in 2024, with the exact dates to be announced. The participants will include the best four from the Group Stage and two Wild Cards.

All members of the media, both local/national and international, who plan to cover the Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage must apply for accreditation through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at https://my.wbsc.org.

The accreditations procedure starts by clicking on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS. The online request form needs to be completed, also including a headshot.

Media should accurately indicate their credential pickup location to avoid delays during the distribution.

Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated email confirmation that their application has been received.

Another automated message will indicate a "change of status" in the accreditation request.

Media members can check their request status after the registration deadline by accessing mywbsc.org and clicking SEARCH FOR YOUR ACCREDITATION on the top right of the page. They will then need to enter their name, last name and email address.

International Media, please check accurately if travelling to Canada or Japan from your country of origin requires a VISA.

Pre-tournament press conferences will be scheduled. Details will follow at a later stage.

The WBSC will share a protocol for media interviews during the IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup with the accredited media before the tournament opens,
