DURHAM, N.C. – USA Baseball announced the re-election of Mike Gaski as president of USA Baseball, a position he has held since January 7, 2001. The federation also announced that Jenny Dalton-Hill, who serves on the board as a recent-athlete representative, was elected as secretary and Jason Dobis was re-elected as treasurer at the most recent board of directors meeting held December 3, 2013, in Cary, N.C.

“I am honored to serve this organization for another term,” Gaski said. “USA Baseball has made great strides in the last 12 years, and I look forward to continuing the growth and development of both the organization and our players.”

Gaski was re-elected as USA Baseball’s president, for the third time. He originally assumed the position in January of 2001 and has now been re-elected in 2005, 2009 and 2013.

A former NCAA Division I head coach with over 650 career victories, Gaski first joined USA Baseball in 1991 as the team leader for the U.S. squad at the Pan American Games in Cuba and joined the 1992 U.S. Olympic Baseball coaching staff in a similar role.

Dalton-Hill was selected as the secretary for USA Baseball for the first time. Dalton-Hill joined the board in 2010 as a recent-athlete representative following a playing career for the USA Baseball Women’s National Team that included winning a bronze medal at the 2010 IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup in Venezuela.

During the 2010 event, Dalton-Hill played in nine games, starting eight, in Venezuela. The infielder logged a .333 average (8-for-24) with a double and two runs scored, and finished fifth on the team with nine RBIs.

A top performer on the baseball diamond, Dalton-Hill originally starred as a softball player at the University of Arizona where she won three national softball championships with the Wildcats in 1993, ’94 and ’96, and was a three-time All-American. In her senior year in 1996, Dalton-Hill was the Pac-10 conference Triple Crown winner, was named the Honda National Player of the Year and was voted the World Series MVP that postseason.

Dobis was re-elected as treasurer by the board of directors, after originally joining the board in 2001 as a recent-athlete representative. Dobis is currently an at-large representative on the board.

Dobis was a pitcher for the silver medal-winning 1994 USA Baseball 18U National Team and later spent three years in Minor League Baseball. Dobis is the immediate past representative for the sport of baseball to the United States Olympic Committee’s Athlete Advisory Committee.
