Netherlands to prepare for Premier12 with Kingdom Series in Aruba

The Dutch Baseball Softball Federation and the Aruban Ministry of Sports announced that Aruba will host the second edition of the Kingdom Series from 29 October to 4 November.

World No. 7 the Netherlands will warm up for the WBSC Premier12 2024, presented by RAXUS, from 29 October to 4 November in Aruba.

During a press conference, the Aruban Minister of Education and Sports Endy Croes and the Dutch Baseball Softball Federation (KNBSB) CEO Stefaan Eskes announced that Aruba will host the second edition of the Kingdom Series. The tournament's schedule will be revealed later.

"We're extremely excited that the Kingdom Series will be hosted by Aruba this year after a successful edition in Curaçao in 2022," said Eskes. "It's a wonderful opportunity to give the sport of baseball a huge boost on the island. For years, we have been working together hard to increase the level of baseball throughout the entire kingdom. We share knowledge and experience, learn from each other and enforce each other on and off the field. The KNBSB actively tries to involve the Amateur Baseball Federation of Aruba (ABBA)."

The Kingdom Series is intended to promote baseball in Aruba and the whole Kingdom of the Netherlands. The National Team players and coaches have committed to holding multiple clinics to engage the local community.

In a press release, KNBSB thanked the Ministery of Education and Sports of Aruba and all the other parties involved in the event: the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), Fundacion Lotto pa Deporte (FLPD), Stichting Sportsubsidie Aruba (SSA), Fundacion Facilidadnan Deportivo (FFD), Instituto Biba Saludabel y Activo (IBiSA), Aruba Sport Unie (ASU), Double Down Sports Bar & Grill Restaurant, and Eagle Resort Aruba.
