World N° 8 Netherlands announced today its roster to play against the USSSA Pride in the final stage of the European Pro Softball Series presented by WBSC. The orange team will host the Pride for a 3-game series, starting next Monday.
The Netherlands are the European champions, and will compete in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship 2018, in Chiba, Japan, from 2-12 August. The winner of the tournament will be the first nation to claim a spot into Tokyo 2020 Olympic Softball competition, not counting host Japan who gets an automatic spot as host country.
The games in the Netherlands will be played on Monday, 30 April, at 5 pm in Moergestel; Tuesday, 1 May, at 6 pl in Hoofddorp; and Wednesday, 2 May, at 7 pm in Haarlem.
The Pride is touring Europe to prepare for the National Pro Fastpich season. The trip started with a 2-game series in Italy, and tomorrow will continue with the start of the second series of the tour against Czech Republic.
