Press Release Pakistan Federation Baseball
The II IBAF 12U Baseball World Baseball Cup is being organized from July 18 to 28, 2013 in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei. The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) had announced that 16 teams will participate.
Participating teams have been divided into two groups as under:
- Group A: Chinese Taipei, Mexico, Japan, Italy, Colombia, Czech Republic, India, Hong Kong
- Group B: USA, Venezuela, Brazil, Korea, Panama, Nigeria, Russia, Pakistan
Syed Khawar Shah Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball told that this is a great achievement and honor for Pakistan that Pakistan (U-12) Baseball Team has qualified for the participation in the II IBAF 12U Baseball World Cup for the first time. For the participation of Pakistan National Baseball Team, the game of Baseball will be flourished and get popularity in Pakistan. He also informed that Pakistan is ranked 23rd in the Men’s Baseball World Rankings and 6th in Asia.
Syed Khawar Shah informed that for the selection of the National Youth Team (U-12) the open trials will be held on May 30, 2013 at 11:00am in The Lords School System Gulberg and 25 players will be picked for a National Training Camp of 40 days. Pakistan Federation Baseball will provide best coaches to supervise the Training Camp. Final trial will be held on July 15, 2013 at The Lords School System Gulberg.
