President Fraccari attends the Awarding of Jacques Rogge in Rome

The IOC President, in the final 16 months, received the “Onesti” prize, dedicated to the memory of former Italian Olympic Committee President

IBAF President Riccardo Fraccari and Executive Director Roberto Fabbricini were amongst the people invited to the Quirinale (the building that hosts the President of the Republic of Italy) in Rome. The Italian Olympic Commitee (CONI) and the Fondazione Onestiawarded IOC President Jacques Rogge with the “Onesti” prize.

Giulio Onesti has been the President of the Italian Olympic Commitee (CONI) from 1946 until 1978 and is mostly credited for the growth of sports in the country.

Rogge is in the final 16 months of his last term as the President of the IOC.

Fraccari and Fabbricini had a chance to meet the 5 Italian IOC members: Franco CarraroMario PescanteOttavio Cinquanta,Francesco Ricci Bitti and Manuela Di Centa.
