Puerto Rico Double-A League post season to open on 17 May

The top four teams of each division will compete for the Zone Championship. The eight winners will play a round-robin named 'Carnival of Champions', and the top four finishers will advance to the semifinals.

Puerto Rico's 85th Superior Double-A League qualified 32 teams for the postseason. The top four finishers of each Division will compete in the best-of-five Zone semifinals. The winners will advance to the finals. The eight Zone Champions will play in a round-robin named Carnival of Champions (Carnaval de Campeones). The top four will advance to the semifinals. The semifinals and finals will be best-of-seven series. These are the qualified teams:

The defending champions Camuy Areneros, Hatillo Tigres, Florida Titanes, Utuado Montañeses (North); Abonito Polluelos, Cidra Bravos, Comerio Pescadores, Cayey Toritos (Centre); San Sebastian Patrulleros, Aguada Navegantes, Aguadilla Tiburones, Hormigueros Libertadores (Northwest); Guaynabo Mets, Vega Alta Maceteros, Dorados Guardians, Carolina Gigantes (Metro); Las Piedras Artesanos, Fajardo Cariduros, Juncos Mulos, Rio Grande Guerrilleros (East); Salinas Peces Voladores, Coamo Maratonistas, Guayama Brujos, Juana Diaz Poetas (South); Yabucoa Azucareros, Humacao Grises, Maunabo Jueyeros, San Lorenzo Samaritanos (Southeast); Cabo Royo Piratas, Sabana Grande Petateros, Lajas Cardenales, Peñuelas Petroleros (Southeast).

Yabucoa's catcher Rubén Castro finished the regular season with a .465 batting average and earned Batting Champion honours.

Veteran slugeer Kevin González (Sabana Grande) reached the 500-hit milestone during the regular season.

The Roberto Clemente Walker Stadium in Carolina hosted the All-Star Game and the Game of Legends, which included 60 former Double-A League stars.

Caribe beat Atlantic, 9-4, in the All-Star Game and South beat North in the Game of Legends.
