Press Release Pakistan Federation Baseball
The 2nd HEC Intervarsity Women Baseball Championship 2013 was conducted at Abbasia Campus by Islamia University Bahawalpur from March 11 – 13, 2013.
Five Baseball Teams participated in the championship. Participating teams were Punjab University, Islamia University Bahwalpur, Sargodha University, Jamshoro University and University of Lahore.
Games were conducted under the supervision of Pakistan Federation Baseball Technical Committee.
The Final Match was played between Punjab University and University of Lahore on March 13, 2013. University of Lahore won the match by a score of 13 – 3. Main scorers for University of Lahore were Irum Butt (3), Zaiba Manzoor (2), Rabia Basri (2), Zainab Riaz (2) and Best Pitcher of the championship was Aliya Riaz of University of Lahore.
Sargodha University got bronze in the championship.
Chief Guest Mr. Rana Khalid awarded the trophy to the captain of University of Lahore.
