Sri Lanka National Knockout Baseball Tournament is scheduled to be held on 4th, 14th, 15th & 16th of June 2013 at University of Colombo Ground. There are 25 clubs are participating all around the country and few new entrance also there. This tournament is sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom which is recognised as one of the leading companies in Telecommunication Industry. In addition to the club tournament the company agreed to sponsor the Sri Lanka Baseball Classic for SLT cup which is to be held in July 2013. Details of two tournaments are as follows.
SLT National Knockout Baseball Championship 2013
- No. of clubs participating – 25
- Venue – University of Colombo Grounds
- Dates – 09th, 14th,15th, &16th of June
- Award ceremony will take place soon after the finals on the 16th June at the same venue
- Main Sponsor – Sri Lanka Telecom
This championship will be the first competitive event of the year and will be the only event that all the clubs are taking part in a single tournament. We are delighted to see the enthusiasm by the teams and expecting all the national players to be in action representing their clubs.
Sri Lanka Baseball Classics for SLT Cup
Baseball classic is the new addition to the tournament calendar of the Association and look forward to making this tournament the biggest attraction to promote the game of baseball in the country. The best 100 players will be in action in this tournament that will be played among 6 teams and the first tournament to be played in the newly constructed Japan-Sri Lanka Friendship Baseball Ground.
Players have been already selected by the designated Captains and Coaches of the respective teams through an especially designed bidding selection criteria through computers.
Award ceremony will be held soon after the finals and His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be invited to present the cup to the winning team.
Names of clubs and other details inrespect of this tournament will be followed.

3) SL Navy Vs Old Richmond Baseball club – SL Navy won 11/0 3 innings played
4) Siridamma Baseball club vs Frontiers Baseball club – frontiers won 3/2.
5) Kelaniya university vs Asia baseball club – Kelaniya Uni won 8/7
6) kandy baseball club vs Old Nalandians baseball club – win awarded to old Nalandians as kandy not participated
7) DS knights baseball club vs Old Anandians baseball club – old Anandians won 7/6
8) Mahinda baseball club vs Colombo university – Mahinda won 8/6
Next round will be on June 14th, 15th, & 16th
