Super Round schedule announced for WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup in Argentina

The U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup moves into the next phase of the tournament with No. 4 Australia, No. 3 Japan, No. 2 Canada, No. 8 Mexico, No. 1 Argentina and No. 7 New Zealand, set to compete head-to-head over the next three days, from 20-22 April.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) revealed on Wednesday night the Super Round schedule for the I WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup following the conclusion of the 30-game Opening Round in Parana, Argentina.

The U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup moves into the next phase of the tournament with No. 4 Australia, No. 3 Japan, No. 2 Canada, No. 8 Mexico, No. 1 Argentina and No. 7 New Zealand, set to compete head-to-head over the next three days, from 20-22 April.

U23 MSWC Schedule

All six teams will enter the Super Round carrying over their respective Opening Round head-to-head records. As a result, Australia and Japan (2-0) will start the Super Round on top of the standings, followed by Canada and Mexico with 1-1 records. Argentina and New Zealand will have a 0-2 record following group play.

The top two teams at the conclusion of the Super Round will compete For the Title of World Champion at Nafaldo Cargnel Stadium on Sunday, 23 April, at 17:00. Third and fourth place finishers will play the Bronze Medal Game at 14:00.

Oceania rivals Australia and New Zealand will open the Super Round on 20 April at 14:30, followed by Mexico vs Japan (17:30) and Argentina vs Canada (20:30).

No. 6 Czechia, No. 10 Venezuela, No. 12 South Africa, No. 21 Israel, No. 14 Singapore and No. 13 Team WBSC will compete in the Placement Round.
