The Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) held a Baseball5 course for game officials coordinated by deputy umpire director Sujeewa Wijayanayake in Bangkok, Thailand.
"It was a one-day session on the basic rules and how to promote and develop the game," commented Wijayanayake. "But it gave us a chance to introduce Baseball5 to some participants. The next step would be teaching the basics of scoring a Baseball5 game."
The 31 participants represented 10 Asian countries/territories: Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the host nation Thailand.
