The Boston Marathon bombing is a cause of deep sorrow for everybody and above all the sports community. Still, the world ofbaseball came up with a very important and strongly symbolic action in New York.

The Yankees, the archi-rivals of the Boston Red Sox, expressed their solidarity and sympathy when they exposed the United we stand 9/11 recovery catch phrase outside the Yankee Stadium.
In the third inning of the game between New York and the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Red Sox fan favorite tune Sweet Caroline (by Neil Diamond) was played in the stadium.

The IBAF President Riccardo Fraccari and all of the Executive Board share the sorrow of the city of Boston.
