USA tops Guam 13-1, moves to 3-0 in Group C

USA is one step closer to securing a spot in the Super Round after a five-inning, 13-1 victory over Guam in Sunday’s first game at the V WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2022. Ryan Mitchell produced four runs and scored twice for the winning squad. The wins moves USA to 3-0 in Group C, while Guam drops to 1-1.

USA scored multiple runs in four of their five at bats, tallying 11 hits. Guam’s Ayden Aguon and Ka’noa Cepeda had their team's only hits, one in the first and one in the fifth.

The winning pitcher for USA was Alexander Mercurius, who tossed one-inning relief. Starter Chandler Hart struck out seven in three innings. Guam's Aguon was tagged with the loss.
