The USSSA Pride kept the winning streak going today in the European Pro Softball Series presented by WBSC, with a 12-0 victory over the World N° 9 Netherlands. For the Pride, it was its sixth consecutive victory in Europe. The game was played in Hoofddorp.

The game was scoreless through the 3rd inning, when Sierra Romero drove in the first run of the contest with a double to right-center field. Then Shelby Pendley followed with a 2-RBI double to right field, to put the score 3-0.

Two innings later the Pride scored five more times. The highlight of the inning saw Mandy Perez blast a ball down the right field line and race around the bases for a 2-run inside-the-park home run.

The last four runs came in the 6th frame, with 2-RBI doubles by Perez and Romero to make it 12-0.

In the morning the Pride hosted a clinic as a part of the programme of Softball Against Cancer.

Tomorrow will be the last game of the European Pro Softball Series presented by WBSC, at 7 pm in Haarlem, host city of the WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship 2014.

After the last game in the Netherlands the Pride will travel to France, to hold a clinic at the Softball Academy of France in Boulouris, Côte d’Azur, next Friday.
