Venezuela needed only four innings to beat South Africa, 25-0, on Day 3 of the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup at Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadium in Tainan, Taiwan.
Catcher Samuel Torres homered off Zubair Moosa to put Venezuela ahead in the bottom of the second.
Venezuela followed with 23 more runs, getting 16 in second inning.
Sebastian Figueroa pitched three innings, allowing one hit and a walk and earned the win.
Venezuela will face Panama at 14:30 local time on Day 4, while South Africa will take on host Chinese Taipei at 18:30 in Group A action.
