WBSC Academy: Baseball for the Blind courses now available in French
20/12/2021
The Baseball for the Blind courses are freely available to WBSC members and the public.

The two Baseball for the Blind courses published in the public area of the WBSC Academy are now available in French thanks to the Chairman of the WBSC Paralympic Commission Tom Nagel, who worked on the translation and adaptation.

The first course is an introduction to Blind Baseball. The lesson is approximately 35 minutes and goes through the history of the discipline, the rules, the field of play and the main differences with baseball.

The second is a technical course for coaches dedicated to the fundamentals of base running and sliding. It lasts approximately 40 minutes and concludes with a 10-question quiz.

The Paralympic Commission is working on parts two and three of the course. They will focus on fielding, throwing and hitting.
