WBSC Integrity Unit launches webinars on competition manipulation and anti-doping

The webinar on competition manipulation has two upcoming sessions on 25 and 30 November. The one about anti-doping is scheduled for 2 December.

The WBSC Integrity Unit is hosting a series of webinars open to its members. All webinars will be available in English and Spanish.

The first webinar is about Preventing Competition Manipulation. The WBSC will hold it in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Match-fixing poses a threat to the very basis of our sports. It artificially removes the fundamental property of sports competition. Therefore it is vital to educate our community on how to prevent competition manipulation.

The WBSC scheduled two sessions of this 80-minute webinar. The first is on Thursday, 25 November, at 1.30 pm Central European Time and is open to officials. The second is on Tuesday, 30 November, and is available to athletes.

Both webinars will require an ID and a passcode to access. The WBSC distributed them to the Member Federations.

The second webinar is on antidoping and is open to Member Federations' staff.

The WBSC is seeking the cooperation of all the WBSC Members to push forward the fight against doping. In this seminar, WBSC will show some primary activities for education and testing that can be implemented at the national level to comply fully with WBSC Statues and WADA Anti-doping Code.

The webinar is scheduled for Thursday, 2 December, at 3 pm Lausanne time. Registration is mandatory.
